Prophecy Delivered: Ray Comfort’s ‘Counting the Days’ Project
Evangelist Ray Comfort has a plan for his 88-page new book, Counting the Days. His free home delivery plan is an outreach using the book in combination with author Tom Hammond’s Solving the God Puzzle, both short books written in response to the troubling times we live in today. Comfort is the Founder and CEO of Living Waters and the bestselling author of more than 90 books, including How to Know God Exists and The Evidence Bible. He cohosts the award-winning television program Way of the Master, airing in every country in the world, and is an Executive Producer of “180,” “Evolution vs. God,” “Audacity,” and other films. He is married to Sue and has three grown children, and hasn’t left the house without gospel tracts for decades, according to his bio on Living Waters.

I want to share with you one of the most exciting projects our ministry has ever undertaken. But we need your help to make it happen.
The CDC reported that in June 2020, 25 million Americans seriously considered committing suicide. Suicide and depression were already at epidemic levels, and with the nationwide lockdowns, they’re only getting worse. And now domestic abuse, drug and alcohol problems, and anxiety (especially among children) are skyrocketing.
Hearing that was horrifying. So I wrote a short book called Counting the Days to offer hope in our troubled times. The book uses the fascinating subject of Bible prophecy to give credibility to the claims of the gospel, and it was such a hit that the 40,000 print run was gone in just three weeks!
We want to reprint the book to reach people all around the country with the hope of the gospel. To make this reprint even more appealing, our friend Tom Hammond (author of the incredibly popular What Time Is Purple) is allowing us to package his new book with mine. His short publication, Solving the God Puzzle, specifically addresses agnostics, and it’s a perfect fit. This means the new publication will actually be two books printed in one (back to back)!
The problem is how to reach the lost when most of them are confined to their homes, and even if they do venture out, they don’t want to be approached.
That’s when I had an idea for a mass distribution.
I put books into plastic door hangers, had a little tossing practice at the ministry, and then tossed books onto driveways throughout my community.
I loved that it was non-confrontational evangelism. I didn’t have to approach anyone. A few days later every one of those books had been picked up, except for one that had been poorly tossed.
Anyone can do this—in your car with your family, on a bike, pulling a cart, or simply while taking your dog for a walk.
Here is where you come in.
In these days of financial hardship for many Christians, we want to make these books available in boxes of 100, free of charge! The plastic door hanger bags will come freely with each box of books. And what’s more, we will cover shipping anywhere in the US. That is, anyone can get the book in bulk from us, and it won’t cost them a thing.
There are so many faithful Christians ready to reach the lost but who just can’t afford to buy the books. Your gift will buy the books for them so that more people will be reached.
Our goal is to print 250,000 books and have them available by April 1st (that’s no joke!). At that time, we will begin shipping books to all who are ready to reach the lost!
You can help us in three ways:
1. Pray that the Lord would save souls. Our goal is not just to get books out but, through your faithful action, to see people come to a saving faith.
2. Fund a book or a box of books. For each dollar you give, we will be able to send out a book. Our goal is that 250,000 (or more!) books would be given out to the lost.
3. Come April, order books so that you can reach the lost in your community.
Imagine the impact a quarter of a million books would make on our neighbors in times like these. I believe the Lord has mighty plans for this giveaway. The timing is right, the harvest is ripe, the world is desperate, and the Lord is powerful. We just need your help in getting these books out.
