Alex Murashko has more than 25 years in media-related work, including reporting community news for the Los Angeles Times, education coverage for the Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif., Founding Editor for TogetherLA.net, and editor and reporter for The Christian Post’s Church & Ministry section.
Other media-related experience includes being a former social media team leader for Saddleback Church, ad copywriter for an online shopping site, and content writer for a travel book publisher. Murashko has also served with Strong Tower Ministries, an organization that helps back those helping families and children primarily in northern Baja, Mexico. His work with STM includes social media management, published stories and press releases related to the organization and people with a heart for sharing the Good News through construction projects, food-giving programs, and health care assistance.
Murashko is the founder of Media on Mission, a ministry aimed at highlighting the work of journalists and media, working in all platforms, whose Editor in Chief is above all others. There are Christian journalists working in secular and faith-based media outlets whose tremendous work for God’s kingdom should come to the forefront.
Murashko was born in Los Angeles and has lived and worked close to the L.A. area most of his life. He and his wife, Minnie, were part of the Brooks Church plant in Dowtown Los Angeles with Pastor Jimmie Davidson of NAMB Send Network, SoCal, beginning in August 2017.
